Mask No. 7: Insieme (Together)
PRE-SALE NOTE: Please Note: This is the best way to present the design to you. The triangles you see in the top and bottom are simply where the cloth is pulled together to sew the seam.
MAKE: All of our masks are made with 3 layers of protection: the outside, the lining, and the second lining, a soft fabric that goes closest to your face and can hold a filter inside. We tested a number of different fabrics and then settled on a polyester blend because of its wicking properties (ie repels waters) as COVID can remain in the air over 3 hours, attached to invisible water droplets.
Cotton will not work well as it absorbs moisture and could injury you as you may breathe in the virus. We use these masks with the filter for jogging, so you can wear it all day long whether you are a first responder or are in a situation where multiple people are present, such as a retail location.
EASY CARE: You can easily throw these into your wash and air dry them (you can machine dry them on delicate). As we change our masks daily, we wash it at the end of the day in a bowl with three dabs of handwashing soap (You can use different types of soaps but they become harder to remove and may leave residue). We then let them sit for 10 minutes as the soap dissolves the viral wall; just add enough hot water to cover the mask. Then, simply rinse it and air dry it. If you don't have enough masks, simply use a hairdryer to finish the drying process. We recommend you wash it daily to remove viruses it trapped and to use the filter for maximum protection, as this is your life.
Another brilliant redesign by our San Diego artist, Matt Forderer. This design, adapted from the tie called The Song (inspiration description below). The foundation of this tie is so fitting for Matt's redesign. It took 'The Song' but added a factor of two to all of his designs in the mask. This symbolizes togetherness, which will get us through this most difficult time and through anything that challenges. We cannot make it in this world alone, we need to stand on the shoulders of those before us, and beside those with us now, two Together, Insieme. Now for the tie's original inspiration:
La Canzone (The Song). We have three ties that are similar but entirely different. This particular one, that still maintains the Sepia black for the power look, is a very fun tie, in that it offers tulips that stem in various directions, plenty of white to balance the Sepia, and at the very bottom, it offers the abstract of musical notes.
It indicates happy times, a time of enjoying your life, and your journey as the tulips are gold, after all. The relaxed attitude of the tie, coupled with the bold colors, but professional in nature, places the wearer in a time of enjoyment of the fruits of the labor that it took to get here, a finality if you will. Enjoy!
